Zimbabwe's 2023 General Elections: Up-to-date official results of presidential and parliamentary races

Zimbabwe is holding general elections on August 23, 2023. Eleven candidates are running for president, and 15 political parties are taking part. ZimLive will be using official data provided by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission to update these results.

Zimbabwe Presidential Results 2023

To win outright in the first round, a presidential candidate must poll at least 50 percent of the national vote, plus one vote. Failure to reach the threshold will result in a run-off election for the top two candidates in October 2023.

Zimbabwe Parliamentary Election Results 2023

The National Assembly has 280 members, 210 of them directly elected. There are 60 seats reserved for women, elected on proportional representation, and 10 seats reserved for youths. Bills are passed by a simple majority, or 141 MPs. Constitutional amendments, including removing term limits for the president, require two-thirds majority – or 186 votes.
